For as long as I can remember I’ve had a camera in my hand telling stories. I love all aspects of photography, and I especially love to hear how, years after a session, the moments I captured still mean so much to my clients.
I was born and raised in North Carolina, and in 2017 I moved to Asheville. Photography has led me to many countries, allowed me to spend time with incredible people, let me capture the second chances of animals at farm sanctuaries, and offered the excuse to spend countless hours in flower fields with my macro lens.
I approach life with a sense of adventure and am constantly challenging myself artistically. I’m told I’ve got a mixture of spontaneity, practicality, and playfulness that makes working with me easy and fun. My goal is that the mindful lifestyle I’ve created results in a comfortable session with images expressing energy, emotion, intimacy, and authenticity.
fun facts;
I eat dark chocolate every day. My grandfather worked for Eastman Kodak for 40+ years. I hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro with my daughter. I own a 1978 VW Westfalia and a 2018 Airstream Basecamp: Eleanor and Scout. I'm a certified yoga teacher and Ayurveda Wellness Counselor and I routinely practice yoga at AYC. I have a grown daughter and son who are most likely the two most documented children ever and being their mom is the greatest gift of my life! I have a new mini goldendoodle, Watson, who I'm feeling unqualified to train- he is brilliant ;-). I like to paddleboard, hike, practice yoga, camp, travel, play pickleball, enjoy a glass of red wine or a great bourbon and I meditate (almost) every morning. ;-)
